Performance results from the twenty second staging of the Wesley Powell Track and Field meet on December 13 at Excelsior High School, will be uploaded to the World Athletics data base.
That’s the confirmation coming from David Riley, the Competitions Director for the meet which had its official launch on Wednesday at Excelsior high school Auditorium in Kingston.
The event was given a timely financial boost from gold sponsor and sanitation company- Man Power Maintenance Services Limited, to the tune of four hundred and ten thousand dollars, with quarter-million dollars going towards student athletes who are among those affected from the passage of Hurricane Melissa.
Meanwhile, former Netball Jamaica President and World Netball Finance Director Marva Bernard will be one of the three honourees on the day of the meet.
The other honorees are : Carl Bradshaw actor and film producer and Audrey Hinchcliffe CEO and founder of sanitation company man power and maintenance services.
